Aloha ‘oe Aloha ‘oe

In translation of the Hawaiian song “aloha ‘oe” : Farewell to thee, farewell to thee, the charming one who dwells in the shaded bowers, one fond embrace, ere I depart, until we meet again.

it has been a crazy first year of high school (especially since the last quarter was at home) but it has come to an end. most of my favorite memories took place in drama. we had a lot of fun there. it was really funny how almost every time I would be the only one who was willing to be the first to present when it came to projects. Almost everybody else was reluctant. one of my favorite memories was how the tallest and supposedly athletic kid in class could not make a 8 foot away basketball hoop that was about 1/2 foot shorter than him. it was so funny how he kept missing when it should have been a piece of cake for him. I miss you all and because of social distancing i am going to paraphrase a quote from my favorite Hawaiian song, Aloha ‘oe. “one virtual social distancing embrace, ere I depart, until we meet again.”

also btw i learned how to play the song Aloha ‘oe on my new ukulele that I built my self
